Maid of honor
Posted on March 5th, 2010 @ 11:04 pm

My sister is the one in-charge with her best friend’s wedding invitations. She is officially the maid of honor and she’s taking her role seriously. This is her friend since she was in first grade! And they’ve been the best of friends over the decades. You can imagine how much they treasure each other. So now that my sister’s best friend will be held before the end of this year, my sister is doing every little thing she can to help make it the best wedding there is!

Sofa shopping
Posted on March 5th, 2010 @ 11:02 pm

I love contemporary sofas. The cushy modern ones. My sister and I frequent the home section of our favorite mall and there we see a wide array of sofas that we like. If we only have the money to purchase one, we would have replaced the sofa at home by now! Unfortunately for us, we are running on a tight budget these days. Aside from the fact that I want to save up, I am really putting a discipline on my home shopping ways.

New TV
Posted on March 5th, 2010 @ 10:55 pm

Our tv gave up on us. After five years of continuous use, it just up and fainted on us. My dad brought it to a repair shop but until now, six days later, it’s still there. I am thinking of buying an HDTV to replace it. But my budget does not permit me to buy one yet. Probably a month after I can buy one already. For now, we are content with the small tv that I got for a bargain.

City girl
Posted on March 5th, 2010 @ 10:51 pm

I am a city girl at heart. I think I will always be one. I love seeing metal buildings, high-rise condominiums and other buildings around me. As weird as this may sound, the sound of traffic is reassuring for me in the dead of the night. My friends tease me about this.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the countryside, too! But I can’t see myself living in one unless it has the amenities of a big city.

Acting up
Posted on February 27th, 2010 @ 8:07 pm

My left eye is acting up for a few weeks now. I really need that discount prescription glasses my sister is telling me about. I haven’t been to my eye doctor for over a year now and I am afraid my eye grade has gone up again.

The poor eyesight runs in the family. In fact, the only member of the family not wearing a prescription glasses is my brother who’s the youngest among us. My dad down to my youngest sister are all wearing one. It’s no wonder then that my eyesight is deteriorating fast. I just wish I can save enough money to have lasik surgery soon.

Newly bought house
Posted on February 27th, 2010 @ 8:04 pm

I saw the photos of my friend’s newly bought house. I love it! I saw from the series of photos that they prioritized the installation of wireless security systems inside the house and the single standing garage. The kids’ bedrooms were also the first ones to be furnished before the kitchen, the master’s bedroom, and the other rooms of the house. You can see that they are planning every detail of the house to maximize the space and ensure that every piece they put it in will blend with the overall theme they are going for.

It makes me want to go out and buy a house now! If only I have the money to do so…

Gifts I give
Posted on February 27th, 2010 @ 7:58 pm

My friend Gracie loves the personalized lip balm I gave her last Christmas. She’s more of a lip balm girl than a lipstick kind of girl so she can appreciate the former better than the latter. Whenever I give gifts, I make it a point to know what the person I am giving a gift to prefers. If I can afford it, then I’d go for that. If not, I’d find the closest thing to it that I could get.

I don’t like giving gifts that the person will only store or display. I like the fact that the gift I give is something the person can use on a regular basis.

Gateway Mall in Cubao
Posted on February 27th, 2010 @ 7:54 pm

GatewayMall

The Gateway Mall in Cubao is an alternative place for me and my friends to go to. I like the fact that it’s just one jeepney ride away from my place of residence and that it’s not hard for me to get a cab going home from there.

I meet up with some friends there from time to time. I like the simplicity of the place, the fact that it’s not too big you’d get lost in it. Even for first-timers, the place is easy to navigate.

Life made easy
Posted on February 17th, 2010 @ 8:14 am

One of the things that internet did to my life is made it easy. Whereas before, if you want to know more about a certain product or service, you have to go out of your way to seek those who have used it already. Now, all you need to do is log on to the internet and search for reviews or testimonials.

My uncle is asking me to check out an auto insurance service he is interested in. I just read auto insurance reviews and that’s it! I was able to go back to my uncle with the information he needs. All within an hour. Internet is that fast!

Not vain
Posted on February 15th, 2010 @ 4:58 am

You know you already need a quick weight loss product to take when you get short of breath walking from the living room to the bathroom. I think I might be near this stage. I need a quick fix now. Something that will make me lose weight fast and effectively.

I am not a vain person. You see that right away when you see me. But then there are times when I wished I was vain. Because that way, I know I would not have let myself go this way.
